CITYWIDE CLEANUP

September 15th,16th, and 17th

September 07, 2016

The City of Eureka will hold a city-wide clean up the third weekend of September. Residents of the city will be able to take items to the city mixing grounds south of town on 140th St. Just proceed south on South State St about 1 mile to 140th St and turn left to the mixing grounds site. To leave items you must be able to prove you are a resident of the city. Your drivers license or a water bill receipt will do. Items not accepted include tires, freon containing appliances, C & D materials such as sheetrock, insulation, lumber, and shingles, garbage and hazardous waste such as paint, herbicide, and insect sprays.

Allowable items include furniture, mattresses, most metal items, appliances(excluding those containing freon), most anything old and broken. City personnel will be there to inspect loads as they come in. Please respect our restrictions, the city is regulated by KDHE and abuse of the list of things we can take could result in the revocation of the city's permit and loss of the ability to hold a clean up at all.

Volunteers are always needed to help those that do not have the ability to bring things to the grounds themselves. If you could volunteer or you need help removing something please call the city offices on get your name on the appropriate list.

If everyone does their part we can have a much cleaner and attractive town.
