City Clerk

The City Clerk is appointed by the Mayor and serves as the secretary for the Council and Official Custodian of the City Seal. The City Clerk, or her designee, is responsible for attending all City council meetings, keeping the official minutes of all meetings of the City Council, recording all City Ordinances and Resolutions, attesting to all city documents, researching public record requests, administering oaths, and giving notice of public meetings as required by law.

The City Clerk handles the financial affairs for the city. This is also where the public pays water bills, pays for building permits, and pays to get dogs out of the pound. You can also contact this office to check scheduling and rent any of the three buildings the City offers for public use. Please contact this office at 620-583-6511 or 620-583-7552.
