2018 Consumer Confidence Report

A Detailed Analysis of Eureka's Water Quality

Below is the link to the current Consumer Confidence Report for tests completed in the year 2018. Once a year the City of Eureka makes this report available to the public. It details specific water quality test results and explains what many of those results mean.

We have received the results from our recent lead and copper test samples. The test levels are extremely low in the ten samples we are required to take. These samples are taken at the point of service, the faucet, in ten homes. This will catch any lead in home piping in addition to any in the distribution system.

The results are given in milligrams per liter. Test results for copper were in the .020 mg/L range. The recommended maximum is 1.3 mg/L

Test results for lead are in the .001 mg/L range with the recommended maximum of .015 mg/L

So you can see that lead is not an issue in our system thankfully.
